Ouarzazate is the perfect place to stay and explore the magnificent region. Along desert mountains, valleys and amazing oases, Ouarzazate and its surrounding surprises all its travelers that actually spend some time to explore the city and region.

Ouarzazate has plenty to keep you busy for 2 or 3 days. Don't miss several traditional neighborhoods like Taourirt and Tassoumaat.

Visit Ouarzazate two existing cinema studios also the cinema Museum.

Don't miss the traditional mud brick arquitecture of Kasbah Taourirt, Kasbah des Cigognes and Kasbah Tifoultoute.

Sunday market is a must if you're passing by during weekend. The central market and Ouarzazate main square are places not to be missed around sunset until around 9pm. Full of people having fun.

Also don't miss the gorgeous lake, and also the hidden cinema sets around the city.

Ksar of Ait Benhaddou

Definitely the most well known place around Ouarzazate is the Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, placed under UNESCO World Heritage programs already several years ago.

Visit Taznakht village with its famous carpets, Anzal Berber village with a nice small Berber women association for handicraft manufacture, Agdz Oases, Kellat MGouna rose valle, the Draa Valley, the Dades Valley.

The desert is only 150 km away from Zagora south.
