hmmm ... well reading about Jakarta , hearing the people talking about it....it is like the number one place in the world to avoid.-traffic jam , criminality , .... But as I am a brave person I convinced my friends and the three of us went for two nights. At first I had to admit the city isn't very friendly. The traffic is noisy , stinky (what do they put into these things?)... and you feel unsafe because al the warnings.
But the second day , we did have fun , we like the old remains of the dutch period and we met Arie and dika - and the city revealed itself.
I will always remember our birthday celebration in the Batavia cafe.... I'll explain in the tips. *big smile* and I took home the Baton-east in the wrong direction. haha
Well at the end our time spend in Jakarta was to short. (july 2003) |
| | Januari 2004! So we went back to see some more of this megapolis... We didn't get bored...Even this time we where short in time and missed out some things.
Jakarta , I'l be back again. |
