hmmm ... well reading about Jakarta , hearing the people talking about it....it is like the number one place in the world to avoid.-traffic jam , criminality , .... But as I am a brave person I convinced my friends and the three of us went for two nights. At first I had to admit the city isn't very friendly. The traffic is noisy , stinky (what do they put into these things?)... and you feel unsafe because al the warnings.

But the second day , we did have fun , we like the old remains of the dutch period and we met Arie and dika - and the city revealed itself.

I will always remember our birthday celebration in the Batavia cafe.... I'll explain in the tips. *big smile* and I took home the Baton-east in the wrong direction. haha

Well at the end our time spend in Jakarta was to short. (july 2003)

So we went back to see some more of this megapolis...
We didn't get bored...Even this time we where short in time and missed out some things.

Jakarta , I'l be back again.
