    • Cute little monkeys?
    What did you say?

    Okay , these are javanese macaques.
    They are all over the nature reserve and
    absolutely beautiful to watch.

    From a distance!

    They are also quit brutal and used to people.
    The guides feed them and especially the
    sub-adult males will try to scare you.
    Show no fear. Don't challenge them.
    They can bite very nasty!

    And keep an eye on your stuff while you
    go swimming. (put one of those little
    chains to close your bag)

    I saw these guys take a muslim ladies scarf.
    But I also saw them swimming on the left side of the island. And that is one of my fondest memories. :-)

    • Logical , it gets dark...
    In Pangandaran it gets really dark.
    There is almost no public lighting.

    If you've seen the state of the footway and the
    road during daylight , you know it can
    become verry tricky to get home safely.

    Advice - take a pocket-torch with you.
    Stay near Jalan Pangaran where the hotels and
    restaurants lighten the road a bit.

     did u get to stay at Batu Karas Beach? that's the best spot to stay in Pangandaran almost empty beach (unless during public holidays) good food, cheap rooms, good crowd (mostly college students from Bandung and surfers).

     Its cultural agreement that time, so the kingdom got all those statues, Frank. And they treat me well :D hahaha But really its pleasure to be there. I still come and go there. Well, until youre not that busy to walk around with me hahahhaa.
