Well, I grew up mostly in southern Illinois. I lived in West Frankfort until I was 12 or 13. My family and I went to Las Vegas for a couple months every summer and we finally decided to move out there.
I loved living in Vegas- living there is completely different than visiting. But I got homesick and we moved back to Illinois. Then... I got homesick and I moved back to Vegas-leaving my family in IL. Then- you guessed it! Homesick. I did that for about six years. I liked change. Then I fell in love with the drive from Vegas to LA. So there I was driving back and forth -about twice a week- until I decided to just stay.
LA is home to my heart. I worked on the Promenade in Santa Monica at an ice cream cart and I never wanted to go home. I was always there. I met a lot of great people and I got paid to star watch and enjoy the street performers. But I visited my family in Illinois for Thanksgiving and - that's right- I started packin'. One more move to Vegas- and back to Illinois- and 50,000 miles later- I decided to stay in southern Illinois. Every day I get the itch to leave either for travel or to move. I love meeting new people and seeing new things. I love driving. I once wanted to take a vacation- driving around the perimeter of the US- but no one else was up for it. One day I'll do it...

Ok- So I have visited many member pages and I have enjoyed reading their TOP___ lists- so here are a few of my own...

TOP FOODS: (in no particlar order)

POPCORN- very salty and extra butter

TIRAMASU- I actually smile at it when I eat it

BBQ- sandwiches, ribs, with all the fixin's

NACHOS- any time anywhere- i love them- ex sour cream and guac and chz

PEANUT BUTTER CHOC ICE CREAM- that's all I have to say

GRILLED BRAUTS-with green peppers, onions, mustard and a beer

PIZZA- if I could, I would eat it everyday

PASTA- I will eat it w/ butter and garlic or alfredo or pesto ... it doesn't matter- it's comfort food

DAD'S VEGETABLE SOUP- speaking of comfort foods

MOM'S BISCUITS AND GRAVY- every Sunday morning

PB AND BANANA SANDWICHES- yes, I know they're Elvis' fave- but mine are better- they must be cooked like a gr chz in lotsa butter

ANYTHING FROM HOTDOG ON A STICK- I really miss you guys.....

CHEESE CHEESE CHEESE- w/ fruit or bread or alone- anykind of chz- I love chz- bleu, brie, camembert, havarti, american, swiss, provolone, muenster, feta, parmesean, cheddar, jack, fresh mozzerella..... I LOVE IT!!!!

TOP BEVERAGES:

BEER- Newcastle, Bud, Amberbock, Miller Lite, Stag, Corona

RED WINE- Cab, Shiraz, Merlot- in that order

ALL WINE - who am I kidding? only whites usually on a hot day outside

BOMBAY SAPPHIRE

CHAMPAIGNE

THAI ICED TEAS

ORANGE JUICE

SWEET TEA

SOY MILK

WILD CHERRY PEPSI

FOUNTAIN ROOTBEER

CHOCOLATE MILK-only when I eat homemade popcorn w/ extra butter

RASPBERRY CAFE BREVE EXTRA SHOT NO FOAM- one of the reasons I went broke in college

I'm glad you found Brad online to help you out ... a true cowboy, a true white night :) I don't know if we can ever forget 'bathroom girl' ...... but isn't it amazing how VTers go out of their way to help each other? Hope today is less ... dramatic ;)
