I absolutely loved this little hostel. It is new, clean and conveniently located. It may not be the cheapest by the staff made the stay well worth the money. I was one of two guests and they let me walk through the rooms to pick the one I wanted. The staff the next day let me hang out in the kitchen, taught me more Spanish than I can remember, fed me dinner (and some yummy cake!) and made sure I was more than safe. The desk is manned 24-hours-a-day and the door is aways locked until they see who you are.
Another kudos to the staff of El Faro is due to their insistence that one of their guys walk with me to the bank and personally show me where to go shopping. I can't express how nice I thought that was! Way above the normal duties of a hotel staff.
Unique Qualities: The location is half a block away from the coast and the rooftop terrace had a fanastic view!
