great time for snow

the banff springs
arrived in calgary, mid feb. kuttoff picked me up and drove me into banff to hang out with stevie and stash for 2 weeks. for the first week kurtis and I toured to fernie, where they were dumped on! 96cms had fallen in the last three days before our arrival. what an amazing hill, they have it all, deep snow, steeps and wicked glades. they have a pretty good park as well we were told. we took a little 2 km walk on a snowcat trail trying to find our way to the chalet, big hill!!! then we headed to nelson b.c. where they had a great season as usual, they where diggin out the t-bar up top. I was pretty impressed, this place has only two double lifts, one on the east and the other on the west. but some of the wildest easily accesible back country terrain, if you go to white water make sure you have the gear!! and they always get dumped on. seriously! after a couple of nights in nelson, we drove through revelstoke and rogers pass ending back in banff. after that i chilled at the apt, rode a couple of times a sunshine, worked a day with steve at the liquor world haulin booze to bars for a free lift ticket. actually it wasnt for the ticket, he damn well needed me. Lets face it he basically told me to work, cause it was hard to get me to do anything work related on this trip!
