Three weeks in the middle of nowhere

If you live in Europe and you´re planning a trip to Borneo for a few weeks, be ready to
- Fly 35 hours 35 minutes
- Travel by bus 27 hours
- Travel by boat 10 hours
- Walk in the rainforest 20 km
- Get 300 mosquito bites
- Get 30 medusa burns
- Get severe sunburns
- 15 hours 15 minutes of waiting at airports.

If you think you can handle this, you´ll be able to experience the same we did.

Sarawak, Mulu airstrip, nowhere

If you´re used to Airbus flights between two European cities, this one is something refreshingly different! Unless you have a weak stomach... It takes about 30 minutes to fly from Miri to Mulu, but as they´re building a larger airfield to Mulu, bigger planes are able to fly there then.

Royal Mulu Resort

A pool a million miles away.

Having traveled to the other side of the world and into the middle of the jungle it feels unreal as the first thing you see is a pool! This resort is one of the best we´ve ever visited, as there were no other tourists, completely silent and all the service reserved, just for you.

You mention that rain water is 30 degrees celsius could be misleading. Depending on where you are, some places can be freezing cold. Be prepared for any eventualities. Ask local people or guide. Play safe.
