"Paradise" Phuket by kim_shell

We had always wanted to go to Phuket. It was always one of thos way out places that no one seemed to visit. We specifically wanted to stay somewhere that was isolated and did not have too much tourist impact. Marina Cottages did the trick and will never forget the Thai people who could not say our name - just calling us 449.

Now this is an experiance not for the faint hearted. We got up really early in the morning and caught a local taxi for about 10 baht to Phuket Town to watch this celebration.

Peeling Nuts

The butterfly farm was in real need of funding - all the buildings looked in need of renovation. It was interesting to visit the Cashew Nut factory - if only to get to taste some roasted nuts first hand.
