Site of a major WW2 sea battle, it is considered No 1 or 2 dive site in the world. An ex American protectorate, it is still in pristine condition with amazing beaches and unspoiled landscape, protected by the Government's order that no building shall be higher than a palm tree.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Unspoiled, pristine tropical island. Brilliant diving.
Cons:Not much to do if you're not into diving or admiring natural beauty.
