"The Cinque Terra" Deiva Marina by ogb4619

Deiva Marina is the fifth and most westerly of the Cinque Terra ("five towns") on the Italian Riviera, west of Nice and is basically the first part of the Italian Riviera that you come accross after crossing the French border.

The five towns cannot be reached by car.
The only 2 ways of visiting them is by taking a train or walking.

It could be a 1/2 day walk from one end of the Cinque Terra to the other so the train is the best method.
You can buy a ticket that allows you to get off and on at the 5 stations on the way.
It is possible to spend enough time sightseeing at each of the 5 towns, all in one day.

These picturesque towns are reached by a walk along the cliff face and one can take the train to some towns and walk the short distances to others.
The blue walters, pretty towns, boat harbours and scantilly clad beachgoers are all quite breathtaking.
