Travel is a luxury that many cannot afford.
For those lucky enough to have the money and the freedom to undertake travel to foreign countries, one's attitudes to cultural, religious and racial differences becomes broadened.

To experience these differences makes us more understanding and tolerent to things with which we are not familiar.

I have been lucky to have undertaken 4 world trips in my lifetime, totalling over 24 months of total travel. Not long by many standards but long enough to learn much about people in other lands.

Originally from Brisbane, Australia, I began by travelling around Australia at the age of 19.
With VW sedans, we have travelled extensively around the eastern states with some time in the central states while Western Australia is just too far to drive.

At 27, I first ventured overseas, bought a campervan in London and spent 12 months travelling throughout UK and western Europe in 1973. Fortunately, I got my job back when I returned.

In 1981, I returned to London for another 3 months through England.

A long delay of 19 years before our next sojourn through western Europe followed 2 years later, by a thorough journey through Scandinavia.

In 2006 we spent a month in Istanbul and around Adana in the south of Turkey. Then a short two weeks back to London, one of my favourite cities.

We are planning our next one but having recently bought a new house in Seremban, we are loaded with a home loan that restricts our spare finances.

My travel comments and photos are intentionally selected from places and things that are not as well documented or photographed as others.

Everyone has seen the Leaning Tower of Pisa but does everyone know that the attached Cathedral is equally beautiful.

It is taking me a long time to upload my selection of photos.

We usually buy campervans before leaving for Europe and resell it upon completion of our 3 month travels.

We are more than happy with the campervan theory in that it gives us maximum flexibility and the ability to plan our own thing and stop where we want to stop.

One does not get lost when travelling, one just takes the longer route.
Half the fun of travelling in a foreign country is "getting lost" or taking the wrong route.
