'Mode': TO
Category: Airplane
Getting TO/AROUND: By plane you will arrive at Kamuzu International Airport. KLM, Britsh Airways and some African airlines have flights between Malawi and Europe. We flight with KLM directly from Amsterdam. At the airport are banks, a postoffice and a pharmacy. All buses from/to Lilongwe to/from the north will stop at the airport, so it's easy to go by bus to the capital. We had a hired bus.

'Mode': AROUND
Category: Ship/Boat
Getting TO/AROUND: At the Lake Malawi it's nice to make a boatride by hiring a boat of the local people, who are around at the beach or at guesthouses. It is not expensive, the scenery is beautiful and a meal or barbecue at the beach or an island can be included. We really enjoyed our boatride from Cape Maclear to one of the islands.

JLBG Fri Apr 10, 2009 05:21 UTC Another of your fascinating Africa page! I was especially impressed by the giant ferns. Great photos of mothers with their children! | kyoub Tue Mar 31, 2009 12:09 UTC You arrived here before Madonna put it in the headlines.LOL Malawi seems like a very nice area to enjoy nature. Very interesting! | DaDrifter Sat Jun 4, 2005 09:46 UTC 'Africa for beginners' ... wonderful way to describe Malawi ... lovely people pictures, Lake Malawi, Zomba and Mulanje look quite unreal. Great personal touch to your pages Ali ... Thanks for sharing. | acemj Sun Jan 2, 2005 15:29 UTC I can tell you felt at home here. The fresh fish barbecue and the ride along the Shire River look great and your interactions with the people seems to be most satisfying. |
