|  | Ilha do Sal In Santa Maria are the most big hotels near the beach and in town there are some smaller ones.
Santa Maria is a relaxed town.
It's nice to walk around, sit on a terrace, in a bar, restaurant or at the central Plaza and meet people. |
| | Mindelo Mindelo at São Vicente was in the past an important international port.
Mindelo is the home town of the capeverdian singer Cesaria Evora.
Often there is life music in the bars. |
