Central location in the tourist area and other Agadir, Morocco Hotel/Accommodation Reviews

During our first visit we booked our hotel in advance in a package deal. Hotel Igoudar is a small hotel at the first floor above touristshops and restaurants.

At the first floor is a nice paved area with a swimming pool. The door of our room just came out in this area, being very peaceful and relaxing. But at the moment you leave the hoteldoor you are in the middle of bustling tourist life of the shops and restaurants. We liked that contrast.

The beach is at about 5 minutes walk from the hotel.

The third time we came to Agadir we made a 5 days trip into the desert with landrovers. After this interesting trip in the dusty desert it was a delight to stay for two days in the Almodades Hotel with its green and flowering garden. Most of the time I spent here close to the swimmingpool instead of going to the beach nearby.

From the entrance at the front you are in the middle of the lively area with shops and restaurants. At the back from the garden is a exit form where you can reach the beach only by crossing the street.

If you are looking for a budget hotel, the ** star Hotel El Bahia is a good choice. The 52 clean rooms most with private shower and toilet are nicily furnished and situated around a courtyard.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull.

Around the hotel are several restaurants, shops, a market, a ATM. It's a five minute walk to the Central Market and 10 minutes to the beach. There are good parking facilities in front of the hotel.

I booked the hotel by hostelsclub.com, but you can also phone the hotel directly. The hotel is frequented by backpackers, overland travellers and VT-ers (the Matcrazies0&1 stayed also in this hotel).

Unique Qualities: The hotel has a nice courtyard. If you like, you can have your breakfast here for around 2,20 euro. In the room you have direct dial telephones and satellite TV.

Directions: The hotel is situated in the Talborjt district, three blocks north-east of the Central Market. The hotel is in the south corner of the Place Lahcen Tamri with lots of restaurants and other small hotels like hotel Sindibad.

After our roundtrip by car in january 2008 we planned to fly back from Agadir, so we could meet our VT friends there. We choose to stay in hotel Atlantic in the citycentre for three nights.

The hotel is situated very close to everything like the shops, the market and the cafes and restaurants round the fountain a few blocks more south. By its location at a cul-de-sac at 200 meters from the lively Avenue Hassan II, it's a rather quiet place, where you can park your car very well. The inner garden with a swimmingpool is a very nice place to relax and have a drink.

Directions: The Atlantic Hotel is situated at the same side of the Avenue Hassan as the market, Uniprix and townhall. Just south of the townhall you take the turn-off with the Anaprix supermarket at the corner and you drive right to the parkinglot of the hotel.
