Tiout

Tiout, donkeyride
Tiout, 36 KM south east of Taroudannt, has ruins of a very impressive kasbah.
In 1952 this kasbah was used as decor for the film Ali Baba and the forty thieves.
In the village itself is not much to see.
It's possible to make a donkeyride in the palmeraie. The villagers wait with their donkeys in the streets for customers, most coming with a tourbus from Agadir.

We visited Tiout twice in 2000 and 2001. In 2000 with an one day tour from Agadir.
In 2001 we spent the night in the kasbah.

Great to see Co riding a donkey ;-) Lucky you not to meet Ali Baba's thefts sleeping in the kasbah!
