Bankas is at the southern end of the Bandiagara Escarpment. It's 10 KM to Telli at the foot of the escarpment. It is impressing to approach the escarpment of this side. First you see only the cliffs and than suddenly it's also possible to recognize the cliff dwellings in the same natural colors.

Bankas itself is a relaxed place to stay for a while, watching the daily life.

You were so lucky to explore Telli without other tourists around! For me that often makes the difference whether I like a place or not. You made a Great journey and created a fantastic page as well!!
