UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Why to visit the desert south of Jalu at about 6 hours from Benghazi ? It's total flat area with almost nothing to see.

At the 29th march in 2006 we went there and we were not alone. The heartline of the solar eclipse was about 80 km south of Jalu. Here we experienced a total solar eclipse of about 4 minutes.

The first contact, the moment the moon touched first the sun, was at 11.10 am. First at 12.28 was the second contact, the real start of the total eclipse. At this moment the diamond ring appeared, a last gleam of the sun before the moon covered fully the sun

Nice to see yr updates..remember total eclipse in Hungary 1999.Awesome experiance! Unfortunately I had to choose between buying a roll of film or diaphers4 my daughter.So only memories, no pics.Tim My§ticÄl~·ღ (~_~)♫♫"
