Dylan Swan - 360 degree photo phanatic!

by 360dude - last update: May 22, 2004

360 Tours web site

Introduction

I have been working on my personal spare time web site (http://www.360tours.com.au) for a few years now. It contains similar information that you can find here, but also has rotating 360 degree photos and plan maps I have created myself. I figured that I could also share my information on virtualtourist.com so I am in the process of copying some of this information across.

360 Degree Photos

Since I have discovered how to make 360 degree images, I always try and take as many as I can whenever I go anywhere. I think they're fantastic because they capture the whole environment in a single photo and gives you a feeling of actually being there.
The photo here is in front of the Queensland Museum overlooking the Brisbane river. Note that you can join the ends of the photo to make a full 360 degrees. This is the flat version which appears warped. To see it properly you need to go to my web site that has special software (Java applet) that dewarps the image and lets you rotate it, like you are standing in the middle and looking around. Unfortunately virtualtourist.com does not permit Java applets to be uploaded to them so the best I can show is the flat version.
Snowboard New Zealand

About Me

I work as a computer programmer for the Queensland Government. I enjoy sport and I am currently doing taekwondo, tennis and skateboarding. I love snowboarding and skiiing and have been to Perisher/Smiggins, Australia twice and Queenstown, New Zealand twice. I hope to visit Europe or Canada one day to go skiing and snowboarding.

Happy Birthday, Dylan! Best wishes from Hungary! When I was in Brisbane last year I checked Your 360tours webpage to find the places must to see.
