Dublin Excursion

by Sol&Jo - last update: Aug 5, 2003

Day 1 (cont...)

Cheers Cheers is all I hear... with the land floating on the wonders of what Guinness provides. Downtown Dublin is amazing with crazy drivers and helpful local abundant.

Checked out a couple of local 'scenes' which was quite amazing. Apparently Guinness goes for 3.8 euro which is pretty much the same as Cdn.

Other than that... we are finding a variety of people... with Ireland being surprisingly multicultural.

Avalon House is pretty convenient
and safe so we are feeling quite at home..

Can't wait to actually get a full night of sleep after being awake for such a long time.

P.S. Jo got us lost today

Day 2 - The WHOLE Ireland experience

You have never visited Ireland until...
1). It rains while siteseeing
2). You visit the Guinness Storehouse. (Good Times!)
and
3). Riverdance. Need I say more?

I must say, number 2 was quite a highlight today. The place has a very heavy artsy feel with a GREAT ambience and storyline. Plus the skybar and free beer was to die for after the long days of travel.

We ended today by eating a 3 course meal at Arlington Hotel. Very traditional feel with great selection of beer and great food. (hmm... guinness & beef pie)

Everyone's tired.... most people are about to pass out.. I think Jo & I are the only ones left standing still =)

Go Team!
