So we had: Me, Denis and our friend Alexey, all suffering the same mood – restless and thirsty for adventures and freedom. + our car, serious and ready for hard tasks. The way to go: 4 500 km of Karelia region and 2 weeks. Long way, no hurry: 2 overnight stops at Vologda region with different monasteries visiting, great Onega lake, Petrozavodsk, Kizhi islands, Kivach waterfall, forests of middle Karelia, The White Sea coast, Solovki islands, petroglyphs at the White sea, crossing the Polar circle, back to Ladoga lake, going to Valaam island from Sortavala and back to Moscow by St.Peteresburg detour road and via E105 road.

Quieting and soothing atmosphere of Valaam, majesty of it's northern nature, it certainly worths visiting it in future... more travel advice
