This place is great to go for just a day, or even a weekend. they have the glasshouse mountains, a beautiful rainforrest and its also close to the beach... what more could you want :) |
Mary cairncross park This is a magical spot. If you turn up to this place at 9 am (when it opens) the animals are awake and still around, if you come any later , the tour groups have usually scared them away.
i love hiking and bushwalking, and this is one of my absolute best places to go. along with all the animals, you can find all sorts of interesting things..... giant strangler fig trees that are about 400 to 600 years old. and right out the front. is the BEST view of the GLASSHOUSE MOUNTAINS
..... more to come soon! |
Glasshouse Mountains. There is an old aborigonal story that goes along with these mountains. i will find it and put it here as soon as possible :) |
