    • The bay is huge and great for beachwalks. The sea (atlantic) can sometimes be very cold so it is not always suitable for swimming. December is the main month that South Africans go on holiday so it can get very busy at this time.

    • At St Francis there are lots of canals and the houses are built close to the water with private jettys. Most canals are narrower than this one. This picture was taken from a very good Greek restaurant (can't remember the name though!).

    • The port has some luxury apartments as well as many shops, restaurants and cafes. The seafood is excellent!

    • The beach is beautiful and almost deserted, you will only come across a few hikers who have come to the end of the Otter trail. There is a small restaurant where you can get basic meals.

    • Just after Big Tree heading towards PE you will come to a Shell service station. Park here and then take a walk along the boardwalks underneath the Paul Sauer bridge.....

     Walking in Tsitsikamma park towards that suspension brigde is indeed a nice walk with great views in the end. good pictures from a this area, this brings back great memories.
