You don't have to waste your time thinking about pickpockets and purse-snatcher if you come prepared. I carry my credit cards, euros, in a little knitted pouch stuffed into my bra. I have sewed velcro at the edge of my right hand pocket of my jeans. I keep my euros, weekly Metro Pass and if needed a credit card in that pocket. The left pocket will hold my change, and ticket if I have one purchase on line. I carry no purse. I do have a small tote bag that will hold my bottle of water and map. When in a metro, bus or just walking in a crowd, my right arm and hand are left to cover that area, my left is free. I have never lost anything, one kid in Paris tried but my hand quickly stopped him. Be aware of your environment is the key. No place is sacred.

Hello! you are right. To enjoy the city but be ready for unexpected twist of events such as pickpocketers! I was in Rome again less than a month ago, with "all my senses" opened but nevertheless, enjoying myself with my friend!! |
