During my first visit of Switzerland, I spend most of my time in this town.
Aeschi is a delightful quiet little village situated up on the sun terrace above Spiez and Lake Thun between Interlaken and Bern. The views out across the lake and surrounding mountains are simply stunning.
Aeschiried is a bit higher from Aeschi and even more closer to nature.

Glad you got off the beaten track in Switzerland. Better to be there than down below in Interlaken or -- in some ways, worse yet -- up in Grindelwald! I've spent time in that area myself...
