Trains

The easiest way to get to port glasgow from Glasgow on Public Transport is by train from Glasgow Central station. You Get a Greenock, Gourock or Wemyss bay train. There is a train every 15 to 20 mins Mon - Saturday during the day and half hourly at weekends. If you are a disabled passenger who uses a wheelchair you must contact the railway before travel as not all trains are wheelchair friendly and this assures that their is someone to assist u at both ends this also applies if you are not a wheelchair user but are disabled and will need assistance either at the station or to board the train. Also if coming from Glasgow if u are in a wheel chair u are unable to get accross to platform one from platform two where the train stops and u therefore have to use the higholm street entrance to leave the station and then turn right and walk along until you reach the road dont take the first cut in as there are stairs just past here and then turn right and go under the bridge and you are now in the centre of port glasgow. The operator to contact for disabled passenger is scotrail

citylink

You can get city link bus from Glasgow to Port Glasgow the easiest place to get from is Buchannan Street Bus station. It is a Gourock bus.

It also stops at various stops around the city centre before heading out and some of these buses also go via the airport.

The exact route the bus takes depends on the time of day as route varies slightly throught out day. The stop to get off at is the coronation park as bus does not go right into town centre. If you ask the driver he will keep you right
