Lanzarote How It Became What It Is Today | Timanfiya national park landscape |
Lanzarote is one of the Island known as the Canary Islands and belongs to Spain.
Lanzarote does not have much greenery due to the fact that it very rarely ever rains. The landscape has came about because of the islands large volcanic activity in the 18th centuary this activity lasted around 7 years and at time almost totaly devastated the island.
Lanzarote as I already said has very little rain. The climate is also warm all year around although there is also often very strong winds that go along with the sunshine. Therefor beware of getting burnt like a few on our ship did as they didnt realise how strong the sun was at time because it was windy.
There are a few sandy beaches also to be had due to the fact that they have imported sand for this.
Lanzarote is a lovely place to visit although not as developed as some of its canary island neighbours this however for me added to the Islands charms |
