Petzi's travels

by PetraG - last update: Oct 8, 2007

Northern Italy September 2007

Cathedral of St. Anton
Just a short trip around Padova where we stayed at a hotel.
We did trips to lake Garda, Bologna and of course Venice.
This region is great for strolling through beautiful cities, having fun in a theme park at lake Garda or swimming.
When living in Padova (30 km from Venice) you can reach some of the most beautiful towns in Italy easily by train, bus or car. And Padova itself is amazing!

Schladming and Bad Aussee - beautiful Austria

We stayed in Schladming (Styria) for four days at the end of January 2007.
We did some skiing and watched tha famous worldcup slalom-nightrace,
held here every year.
Styria is Austia's county with most woods and in winter it offers great skiing locations.
We did a one day trip to Bad Aussee in the county of Upper Austria. A nice litle city located on one of Austria's great lakes - the Ausseer-lake.

Italy - Emilia Romagna - April 2006

My latest travel took me to Italy, more exactly to Emilia Romagna. We stayed at a hotel in Viserba-Rimini. From there I did a few trips:
Rimini city
San Marino
Viserba - amusementpark "Italia in Miniatura"
Bologna
This part of Italy offers really everything: endless beaches with blue sea, medeval towns and FUN!
The picture shows a tower of San Marino.

USA North-East 2005

My second trip to the United States.
This time my husband and I traveled to the North-Eastern part of this amazing country.

We visited Boston, New York City, Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame), the Niagara Falls and Chicago.

We drove in a rented car all the way (1700 miles = 3000 km), passed 8 US States, 7 time-zones and lived in 5 different hotels. And we even walked over a bridge to Canada!

It was an awesome trip with breathtaking views and amazing experiences. I especially recommend Chicago to all of you who like architechture and lifestyle of the US. It's the most impressing city I've ever seen!

Rome 2003

Our trip to Rome in August was amazing! We took the train from Vienna to Rome which took us about 12 hours!!!
Our hotel was in the center, just around the corner of the Colliseum. It had 3 stars, nice rooms and good service.
The heat was unbearable (next time I would go either earlier or later - but not in mid-summer again!!!), but the roman government is so kind to offer free water to everyone at every corner of the city. Just take a bottle with you and refill it when it's empty!!!
All I can tell you about Rome is: WOW - what an awesome city!!!

USA West 2000

This was Philipp and my first time in the USA. We hired a car in San Francisco and did a 2 weeks trip around California, Arizona and Nevada to end up in San Francisco again.
Our tour (by car):
San Francisco (CA)
Oakland (CA)
Sausalito (CA)

Yosemite National Park (CA)
Mammoth Lakes (CA)
Death Valley (NV)
Las Vegas (NV)

Paris 1999

My fourth trip to the french capital, but Philipp's first. We saw all the famous sights and enjoyed a lot the atmosphere of the most beautiful city in Europe.
The weather was lovely the whole week through.
We even spent 2 day in Disneyland Europe, which I enjoyed a lot!!!!!
