Viva lost wages! Hey, if you are fed up with gambling, try doing some of the many activities Vegas has to offer, most of which are free. As I say, "If its free, its for me." All of my Vegas pages include research that I have done online through many Vegas web sites. Every page gives a detailed account of my experience and thoughts pertaining to a certain activity. Also, you will notice on many of the pages, detailed information regarding how you can get a good deal on certain activities that cost. In addition, all pages give detail accounts of prices, hours of operation, contact phone numbers, official web sites, addresses, and directions. Some pages have history to them and others have interesting facts. You will find all the necessary information pertaining to your trip to Vegas within my Vegas Page. I am limited with my time, but I am trying to carve out as many pages as possible.
To get the most enjoyment out of your Vegas trip, I recommend that you do a little online research on your own, into the various hotel & casino startups. It will paint your trip in a whole new light and instead of just passing by the MGM Grand, you will be amazed on some startling facts. I want to point out the best advice I would give anyone vacationing to another state and especially to Vegas: get the Entertainment Book at http://www.entertainment.com. They run from $10 – $35, depending on the time of year you buy it. I would say 95% of all coupons are "buy-1-get-1-free." And I am not talking about cheesy coupons either. The book includes fine dining, casual, informal, attractions, and shopping coupons. All of the shopping coupons are usually 5% upto 25% off whatever product. All coupons expire November 31! I have included a thorough look into all the coupons offered through the Entertainment Book on my “General Tips” page.
Another helpful tip is that I highly recommend signing up for every player's card in Vegas. My wife and I almost have them all. We get free offers for hotel room and buffets all the time and we hardly gamble. Our last trip we went with a free two night stay "any day" of the week at the MGM Grand, with two free dinner buffets, and $25 in free casino chips. NO STRINGS ATTACHED!!! Just put a dollar or two in the slot machine and I am sure you will be on the mailing lists! In the future, I am going to create some highlighted player’s cards which are good for receiving free stuff in the mail and at the casinos. |

| Pros: | "Lots of free shows and performances" | | Cons: | "Stay away from Terrible's, the name speaks for itself! Try to stay off the roads, because it can take a long time to get around a city that never sleeps." | | In A Nutshell: | "There is always something to do in Vegas" |

darylmitchell Thu Mar 31, 2005 22:23 UTC I agree that the Sirens of TI show was just dreadful. I felt icky just watching it... like a B movie crossed with softcore porn. I noticed a lot of horrified parents hurrying their kids away once they realized it wasn't the old pirate show! | madamx Wed Jun 23, 2004 16:42 UTC Fantastic tips, especially the "free" ones. Great page! :o) ~ Helen | TRAVELBUDDYinFLORIDA Sun Jun 29, 2003 10:57 UTC AWESOME INFO and great detail!!!
