Laughlin is a great place to visit like once or twice in your lifetime. There are two things to do in Laughlin which you cannot do most places: (1) Gamble & (2) Recreation in the Colorado River (which flows next to almost all the casinos). My wife and I have visit Laughlin a few times, because Harrah's gives us two free nights every month. What my wife and I do is that we visit Laughlin on a Thursday and we relax and gamble a little bit and then we visit Las Vegas from Friday – Sunday. Laughlin is a great place to relax, particularly because there is not much to do. There is a movie theater and a little mall, but that's it! There are however, plenty of restaurants and fast food establishments inside all the casinos. The greatest downfall in Laughlin is the weather!!! I went to Laughlin when it was 118 degrees and let me tell you that I have never been in hotter weather in my entire life. It is really hot and humid in the nighttime as well. My wife and I got to Laughlin at 10pm and I could hardly stay outside for 1 minute (no joke). It was just to hard to just stand still. It was as if you were being attacked by heat. Just remember, all the casino / hotels are heavily air-conditioned. For more information, see my weather page in the Warning & Dangers area on my Laughlin Virtual Tourist site. |
