"Heaven on Earth" Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge by kcbrit

What a gorgeous place! I could have walked for ever all the way to the end of the spit but we set out too late. It was so relaxing to just sit on a huge driftwood log and gaze at Canada in the distance. There were lots of seabirds and some seals in the water. Absoulutely one of the best places I have visited.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Fantastic views, lots of birds and wildlife.
  • Cons:Long walk to the end of the "spit", Noisy people
  • In a nutshell:Try to make room for this side trip when visiting WA
