We got an off season mid week break fro approx $85 a night. Our room was a honeymoon suite with huge bed and bathtub for two. So far it is the best of the hotels I have stayed at, and the food is really good there too.

It is obvious that they tried to cram as much into the building as possible when they built this place. The rooms are standard, nothing to write home about. The casino is particularly noisy and cramped. Go midweek for best deals.
Unique Qualities: SERVICE - I would describe it as moderate to poor. I was particularly pissed when I used my phone card to make a call, as well as a 800-number call and got charged $3 + a minute. When I complained I was told there was nothing that the hotel could do because AT&T sets the prices. I even wrote to the hotel to comlain after I left and got no replies. For this reason I will never spend my money there again, not because the rooms were bad but because I believe that they should be grateful to their customers and treat them accordingly.

We upgraded to a fancy room ($225) which included a really nice bathroom and comfy bed with free internet, access to the members club, I-pod docking, free newspaper, unlimited local calls and free spa entry. We had a great view of the mountains from our room and a flat screen TV. Well worth the extra $$$$.
Unique Qualities: Reminds me of the Westin hotels we usually stay at - modern and clean

Anakah Fri Apr 27, 2007 14:51 UTC I work in a Casino so I can see where they are coming from. It's like blaming the casino for what the ATM charges you. What is the hotel supposed to do for you? It's a completely separate company... | truesunn Tue Jul 8, 2003 15:12 UTC RE: Excalibur Phone Charges- It is not uncommon for a hotel to charge per call no matter where the call is being placed to. Bring a cell phone, roaming charges beats hotel charges ;) |
