The ever expanding mirage in the desert

by kcbrit - last update: Apr 18, 2008

This place just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I remember when Ceasars Palace was the biggest place in town. I profess to be an environmentally aware citizen and usually live my life accordingly but it all goes out the window when I come here. (I'm here for a work-related event this time) It's way more expensive than it used to be but there are some fabulous restaurants here, and so much to do besides gamble. Still I wonder what will happen when the water runs out. One of these days I promise I'll take a tour into the back country and see the real Nevada.

I work in a Casino so I can see where they are coming from. It's like blaming the casino for what the ATM charges you. What is the hotel supposed to do for you? It's a completely separate company...

RE: Excalibur Phone Charges- It is not uncommon for a hotel to charge per call no matter where the call is being placed to. Bring a cell phone, roaming charges beats hotel charges ;)
