"Seattle and Tacoma" Seattle by highlandlaura

Monica and Laura here on the banks of Puget Sound heading for restaurant. In Seattle, Pike Place is the wonderful Open-Air Market. Great that they still allow live musicians to play along the lanes. All kinds of goods and foods. Nearby is the first Starbucks store! Of course the Fish Market is a big attraction since the staff throws a lot of very large fish back and forth across the counters from the back counter to the front counters and display cases.

We visited our cousins, the McCanns, who also featured prominently in my Ireland excursions in 2001. They live in and near Seattle. Took the ferry across Puget Sound at night so we could see the Seattle Skyline and the Space Needle. Enjoyed a fabulous seafood chowder on-board!
