Off The Beaten Path: Fuessen

This is an over 700-year old town situated on the southern end of "Romantic Road". When you plan on visitingcastles, you can find accomodations here because it is very close to the site. I would recommand Horn, Schwangau (see my Hotel tip) which is about 3 mins of drive away from Fuessen. You have a different range of restaurants here: from traditional, through Pizzeria to McDonald's (I really fail to see why would anyone do that to him/herself). Not to mention shops, walking area in peaceful and yet not deserted old town...
