We drove through Slovakia on our way to Poland. It was one of my "1000's-of-km's-by-car-trips". That year we went on this rout: Yugoslavia-Hungary-Slovakia-Poland and back, of course. The first thing that struck me was how clean this country is. Even on the border, where it's usually very dirty and yacky, this country was beautiful. When we were in Banska Bistrica, I saw a woman with shampoo cleaning the main square! Imagin that....

Beside beautiful landscapes, Slovakia has amazing architecture. Many castles and some are turned into museums. I am only sorry that I didn't have much time to explore this beautiful country, but I am sure that some day, I will go there again and have more time to explore it.

History Repeating

This old castle is great. We didn't join any of the groups, but explored it by ourselves. I couldn't resist trying this "thing" and getting to know how real "witches" felt captured in it.
