Hurghada is a litle town at the Red Sea. It is relativly new in tourism. First hotels were built some 15-20 years ago and the first tourists have started coming. Those "pioneers" were mainly from Russia, so you will find many local people speaking Russian. Still most of tourists in Hurghada are Russians, but these days you'll meet people from different parts of world.
It is very popular for it's diving sites and coral islands.
Come! You will find it very charming!
You will be amazed with all the colors there. Take a look at the sea. Fascinating, isn't it? That little dot with red swimsuite is actually me. And if you enlarge the pic, you'll see a part of old Hurghada in the back.
I've seen the black sea, both seas in Greece, Adriatic (very blue and very beautiful) but I could never imagine colors like these.
If I want to take you through Hurghada and some of the things I saw there, I should really introdce some people to you.
First of all, this is Natasha, my friend who acompanied me on this trip. We used to work together a few years ago, quit the job (both found better jobs :-), but continued the friendship.

You saw the real Hurghada not just the tourist hotels like us! But I find your yellow colour too hard to read, so skipped the commentary. Pity.
Very good page on a city that is not a tourist destination for French : I have never seen any advertisment for Hurghada at French travel agents !
