A school-teacher of mine once said to me the line above. I believe her to be right. Durring my travelling I have met a lot of different kinds of personalities, different ways of looking upon life and - for me - strange ways of living. Some people I just met one time, and know that I will never meet again, others became friends and we are now often in contact with emails, phonecalls or even on new journeys where we meet up again. Some just thouched my life for a second, others are there for a lifetime, but common to all of them is that they came into my life and before leaving left me a footprint in my heart.
This homepage of mine - along with my travellingpages - is always under construccion, some days I delete something, other days I add something... or just change what I wrote so it is more uptodate. Therefore be aware that what you read today might be changed tomorrow - almost always for the better - offering new and better informations on locations.
I am a Dane living in Spain (that sure as H*** sounds stupid - try saying that line out loud - maybe you will smile a bit about it like I just did ;-) and I often travel between Denmark and Spain - which is why you will notice that these are the two pages where I have put in most work. Money is short, I am still studying, but I do take some small trips to new locations ones in a while anyway, and therefore am expanding my pages eventhough it goes slowly.

2007 was a wonderful travleling year... although by the end I must admitt that I missed my own bed and not living out of a suitcase! I visited Barcelona several times, and I am hopeless inlove! Luckily my boyfriend is from there, so that means lots of visits in the furture as well. My page on Barcelona is still not much, but I do hope to add more tips after each trip I have, so check it out here

My Favourite - Simple - Things In the World *** Waking up next to the one you love - Cant help it: Im a hopeless romantic!
*** Traveling, seing new places
*** A beautiful sunset, eg. the one I experienced at Cabo de Sao Vicente in Portugal 2006. It was amazing watching the ocean and seeing the colors of the nature when the sun set.
*** The fields around my home in Denmark just before harvesttime on a day of sun.
*** Chocolate (it had to come up somewhere)
*** Sunday afternoons with friends drinking beer in a tapasbar
*** Receiving postcards/mail from friends
*** Recieving my paychek :-p
*** Munkholmbroen, Denmark
*** Candellights on a dark autumm day
*** Smiling to an unknown person on the street - and receiving a smile back
*** Planting flowers, seeing them grow, bloom, smell...

Denmark Durring the last years living outside of my birthcountry, I have had the luck of coming back to visit quite often, and I must admit that it is always a blast to come home to Denmark. No only because of my family and friends - but just as much because I have had the luck of bring with me foreing friends and my boyfriend, and I have had to "pretend to be a tourguide" showing them the Denmark that I know and the Denmark that I did not know untill they tagged along with me...
It is very human (I think) always to ecpect enough time around to be able to visit our own town/country sightseeings, and that often results in us never visiting sights that are only a few minutes away from where we live or maybe just a few miles from our homes.
I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to get to know these special places in my own country and thereby get to know parts of my own history that I did not know before.
My page on Denmark is always under construction since I visit frequently and each time try to visit something new or at least enjoy the nature around my parents old farmhouse.The road is long - but with one step at a time I am sure I will make it.

Why "Christina1881"?*I don't know if it is just me, or more people on earth have "something weird" with some numbers... Well I sure do - I can't really explain it, but the numbers 1, 8 and 9 have always had a special mening to me...
Maybe it is just because I was born on 18-8-81, or maybe it's because 8+1=9 or whatever... anyways I really like these numbers...
And how did I then get from my birthdate 18-8-81 to 18-81? - The funny part is that I don't really remember it anymore *smiling* I just like the connection... No explanation. A guy ones asked me if 1881 meant that I was born that year... since a lot of people put ther nick and then afterwards their age or some other number... Well I was not born in 1881, but hey - that could have been cool - then I would know have been 120 years, had survived two world wars, experienced the twenties with the funny dresses, danced charleston, and even been able to experience the womens entry on the labour market! Wauw! But no - I just like the numbers... It's that simple... Oh - and the picture is not of some creation of mine - I mean the number is actually the number of a house in Bray, Ireland! |
