Getting TO/AROUND: It is lovely to walk along the Seine. Many of the nicest buildings are built along the river, and there are good pedestrian ways. In Paris all you need is Metro and your feet to see whatevery you want to see.

Getting TO/AROUND: If you are visiting Paris to see the sights you don't want a rental car and you don't need taxis. The Metro will get you close to where you want to be, and you can walk everywhere. Paris has great maps posted at the Metro stations, so you don't even need to clutch a map in your hand as you go around. Also, some of the Metro stations have lovely Art Nouveau signs, such as the north station stop.
