HOWDY!!!
I'm a 36 y/o guy from Germany and pleased to meet you. My interests are multiple, for example I love general knowledge and intelligence. I like to browse the web, listen to (predominantly classical) music, travel and sail (on hold). I like to travel individually. My first trip without parential guidiance was in 1987 to London (2 weeks). I have done trips by ship, bicycle, motorcycle, train, bus, car, RV, feet and by aircraft. It's very important to me to look behind the scene. VT is just perfect for individual travel planning and review!
I need a first hand input from different cultures. Besides travelling, I have had direct insights to other cultures, e.g. a girl friend of Nepal and of Thailand (to whom I'm married now), have lived 10 months with a family in the USA (at age 18) and 6 weeks with a family in Thailand. My current regional emphasis is on SE Asia . My best trips so far were these ones.
In November 2004, I've had done my 2nd 4 week Thailand and first Laos trip. Since it had been an expensive one, my next trip will take place in February 2007 and the destination will certainly be SE Asia again (Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia were planned but cannot be realized due to raised ticket fares - 1.700 EUR). I really would like to see South America or Africa though but Asia is just magenetic to me...
I'm new to VT - therefore my travel pages are displayed mostly void so far. Within the next years, it will be done.
On VT, I'm an English-German language helper. My VT rank is now 3,639 out of 600,000 members. I'm a Top 5 Tip Maker for Marburg/Lahn, Germany.
My best times in travel were Oregon (USA), Thailand and Sri Lanka. The most impressive country one was Sri Lanka (2000).
