This 413-room hotel classifies itself as a business hotel with 2 Grand Ballrooms, 3 Meeting Rooms and a Business Centre... The rooms are located around a central atrium... The rooms have all the basic necessities but not luxurious... Meals can be had at the 24-hours Palm Garden Cafe on the ground floor level... For massage services, there is the New York Spa Centre... There is also a drug store and a hair saloon...

The Grand Boardrooms and Meeting Room are located right on the top floor of the hotel... When there are functions at these places, the hotel's 2 (slow) lifts are not sufficient to cater for the crowd... Guests sometimes will have to wait for about 20 to 30 mins just to get a lift to their rooms...

Straits View Hotel: Straits View Hotel

This re-fubbished 30 room hotel is only 5 minutes drive from downtown Johor Baru... For dining, there is the Marina Seafood Restaurant, Furusato Japanese Restaurant and the Rhythm Cafe & Bistro... The hotel also have meeting for up to 200 pax and banquet facilities for up to 400 pax... It is in a quiet neighbourhood and good for a relaxing stay although there is no swimming pool in the premises...

Unique Qualities: The room are bigger than standard hotel rooms with all the standard room amendities such as TV, minibar, individual central air-conditioning, hot and cold water showers etc... Will certainly stay there again on my next visit to Johor Baru...
