This iconic picture of Grand Central Terminal is quite something - is it not ?
I last visited NYC just a year after the horrific event of 9/11 and was honoured to take part in the 2002 New York Marathon, which in many ways was a kind of tribute to the thousands who lost their lives on that dreadful day.
Many runners ran with an image of a loved one on their running vests, and the name of a charity that the person was connected with. |

VZ-Pam Sat Sep 27, 2008 00:46 UTC Very interesting NYC page and someday I will try your suggestion for the airtrain :) | volopolo Sat Aug 30, 2008 14:06 UTC An excellent page for New York! | kyoub Sun May 11, 2008 21:25 UTC A very nice look at NYC thru the eyes of a marathon runner. I have only seen it from inside a bus. | gilabrand Tue Sep 12, 2006 11:58 UTC I like your commentary on these tourist standards. Speaking of the Empire State Building, I just wrote a tip on it that mentions another world record... |
