China Travel Guide: 29,560 reviews and 83,352 photos

I'm developing a list of 'Top Ten' attractions for various countries around the world.

These are all place I have visited in my lifetime, and hopefully record my personal memories and feelings about the places in question.

They are not meant to be an exhaustive list, and may well miss out places that other people would put in. They are thus purely my 'Top Ten'. As some of these places may have been visited quite a few years ago the lists will tend to concentrate on major tourist sites - places that have been around for many years, and will hopefully be preserved for centuries into the future.

Excellent as ever! I admit that judging moral laxity by tightness of clothing is a novel idea. But sadly the number of British barbers with fat beer guts would suggest that this is a theory best left unpursued in the UK!

Still smirking about your "vendor story". Little Red Books information was interesting. The Top 10 was fantastic. Good warnings.Terracotta Army looks amazing. Believe it or not, Splendid China in Fl. has realistic miniatures of most of your top ten.

Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) might be considered more important to visit than Tai Shan. Tibet should probably be in one of these top 10s. Nice approach though! :)

Another original and fresh approach to VT tip writing. Many of these would be in my top 10 too but unfortunately I didn't visit Pingyao which sounds lovely. Would probably have to put Guangzhou market in its place!
