If music be the food of love... play on.
I have two strong abiding memories of visting Havana for a week a few years back.
The first was how the populace despite all the economic and political deprivations (and I'm not making light of them here) made sure that they enjoyed life as much as possible - and that meant music and dancing at the drop of a hat.
We usully make a video film wherever we travel, and the great thing about Havana was that in virtually every area of town you managed to capture music in the background from bars, street entertainers and just people houses.
I'm not sure the revolution would have lasted this long without this attitude to life being displayed !
The second thing I remember was just how good-looking the Cuban women were. One evening I sat on the balcony of hotel and made an hour-long video focussing entirely on female bottoms in the square.
I could probably sell it for hundreds of pounds in certain circles ! |
