Nightlife Spot: Gullivers' Tavern
Gullivers's tavern is one of those places that you can mention to a backpacker in some God-forsaken corner of the globe and they will remember visiting it. Just try it out. The place is now something of an institution. The place is very westernised - and thus fits very well into the who Khao San road experience. The pool tables and neon could be anywhere in the world. One nice little touch of local flavour : inbetween the guitar-shaped bars, hanging cars and luridly covered pool tables is the Tuk-Tuk that is suspended over the entrance to the place.
