"The Capital but so few enjoy it" Bangkok by sourbugger

The amount of people I must have met who waffle on about fantastic full-moon parties or great beaches in Thailand. If you are to understand anything about a country you really must visit the capital and get something of its flavour (except in Australia)
Too many people only see Bankok through the bottom of a glass of Singha beer in Khaosan road.

We skipped Bangkok on our last Asian trip due to rioting in the streets, but hope to get back there sometime in the next few years. The Jim Thompson House sounds interesting.
Thanks for your exciting story and nice pictures! ><><
Hope that you like Bangkok. Do you?
St Michaels' services is the worst tailoring services I have ever experienced. I stayed in Bangkok for three days with at least two days spent in the St Michaels store. I went to that store at least seven times just to get my blouses done.
Very interesting reading and great photos to go along with it. Thank you. Ann, The Travel Slut
Just looking back at your Bangkok page. It has been awhile.
Likewise enjoying meandering around your pages. Some fascinating tips here, as always. Good idea to liven up horse racing - and for that new TV reality show ;)
Excellent page. Your tips are insightul, informative and useful. I have a niece who just got back from a year in Bangkok teaching English. She loved it there.
Great page, my mate just came back from here, he said the food is superb and ultra cheep, as well as the prostitutes LOL
Your tips brought back good memories of my time in Bangkok! Certainly the place to go if you're feeling a little bored with life! Marion.
