What they don't tell you in the guidebooks Talk about a city where you can be rich or poor and still have a great time....New York is a city for all!!! Some people don't like NYC because it's too congested, too noisy, too dirty, too confusing...but hey-it's a CITY!! Besides, there's refuge in the city. There are so many parks, so many side streets...if you came to the city following a guidebook...then most likely you'll end up at the Empire State building waiting in a line that wraps around the street.
As I stated, I'm not a New York native, but I worked in the city for a few years and I took the time to try and walk different routes daily from Midtown to Chinatown for almost 2 years (for those that don't know the distance, it's more than 35 street blocks or an hour power walking) |
