Nightlife Spot: Paddy Wagon
The Paddy Wagon is ran by two criminal justice professors at Eastern Kentucky University. It has been existing in Richmond since around 2003-2004. They've moved from a great dive location, to a beautiful street location that unfortunately, was destroyed in a fire and are currently in their newly built location on Main Street in Richmond, KY.
They offer live music most nights and the rare special concert. A nice patio outside.
They offer pub fare like beer cheese, nachos, pizza's, fried fish, sandwiches, etc. A decent beer selection... though they can't make up their minds whether or not to keep Strongbow on tap. :(
Get there early enough and free entry. 2-3$ after hours.
St. Patricks day is done up big time! They did have a paddy wagon that ran its sirens at different times on the day... they've upgraded to a double decker bus!
They also plan annual trips with a lot of their friends/patrons to Ireland each year.
This is my favorite place to go out and meet friends.
