We flew to Nice from Amsterdam at the end of August 2001. We spent only a few days, since we already had plans to pick up a rental car and drive north to Grenoble.
I must admit that I had visions of tourist ridden overcrowdedness and was not sure that I would enjoy it.
To my great joy, Nice was absolutely charming. The beauty of the mediterranean, the tiny winding streets of the centre of town, the breeze, the charming cafés.... Nice was more than nice, it was beautiful. |
