Kandy - Sri Lanka's Last Royal Kingdom

Kandy is situated in central Sri Lanka and has a mild climate compared to Colombo. It is 124kms from Colombo and can be reached by road or rail.

The main attraction in Kandy is the Temple of the Tooth. This temple was damaged in 1998 by a bomb attack but has not been restored to its original glory.

Love your Intro Photo, The Queens Hotel looks a grand place to stay. Only spent 2 days in Kandy, would have liked to have stayed longer.
