I arrived first to Central station in Amsterdam.. Although it seems only to be a train station, it has more to see inside and around.. It was summer, so the station was totally crowded.. I was a bit surprised to see so many people from so many different places.. While you were walking, you could hear almost all kinds of languages.. Inside the station, you can find a Tourist info service, where they help new comers to get a place to sleep at night. And also a luggage storage service.. Outside is a fantstic building.. And a nice spot to visit first when you are in Amsterdam..

When you arrive to Amsterdam the first thing to do is to take a boat tour.. The boats leave in front of the Central train station and they have guides in 4 different languages, EN,FR, DE, NL.. The only problem is that you need to hear all descriptions in 4 languages and as it takes time, sometimes you are to another attraction but the guide was explaining the previous one..:)

When you keep on walking on damrak street, you will soon reach a great opening. and this place is called the dam square.. It is the center of Amsterdam, where all the activities are taking place.. During one of my visit, there was a beach volley tournament.. and I was so surprised to see a Beach volley ground in the middle of a square which has nothing to do with the sea.. The square is so wide and you can easily see the following spots.. The first big building on the right side is the Royal palace.. And in front of the royal palace there is always some action.. The human statues or other entertainments.. Just infront of you and Next to the Royal palace is the Mademe Tussaud museum.. the museum is similar with the museum in london. where they publish wax copy of famous people... And on the left side the National Monument..

When you come from Damrak str. to the dam square on theleft side you can see the National Monument. And behind, Krasnopolsky hotel... The steps in front of the national monument is a good place to have some rest .. When there is no rain, you can see many tourists gathered in front of the monument, sitting, talking and spending some time around the monument..

The suare is surronded with many cafes and restaurants and if you try to go sideways, you can find kitchens from all around the world.. The brazilian food, Mexican, Vietnamese,Greek, Turkish and many others..
